Linda Hamilton

Founder & CEO

Linda Hamilton is a distinguished civic leader and the Founder and CEO of Oregon Blacks for Youth and Families. Dedicated to strengthening communities, her organization addresses critical urban challenges including poverty, racism, crime, affordable housing, and public health inequalities.

Currently serving as an Elected Official School Board Member (At-Large) representing Lane Region 16 School Districts, Linda brings a wealth of experience to her leadership roles. She is a 35-year veteran of Oregon Government Public Services, with a diverse background in Corrections and Health & Human Services. Her career spans roles as a Correctional Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, and Counselor/Parole & Probation officer, as well as serving as a Hearings Officer in Investigations for the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Linda is a University of Oregon alumna and the first of twelve siblings to graduate from both high school and college.
