Led by The 4 E’s: Engaging – Encouraging – Equip – Empower
At its core, the program emphasizes the 4 E’s to guide students through a journey of self-discovery, skill-building, and empowerment.
Organized by Oregon Blacks for Youth and Families, the Emerging Adults Program (ages 18–25) is a dynamic extension of the Youth Empowerment initiative, specifically tailored to support young adults as they transition into independence. This program offers critical access to mentorship, life skills training, and academic or career guidance. With a strong focus on at-risk youth intervention, college and career readiness, and housing and employment stability, the program equips participants with the tools needed for long-term success, financial security, and meaningful community reintegration.
The Youth Empowerment Program (K-12) is a comprehensive initiative designed to foster the growth and development of young students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This program focuses on empowering youth to excel academically, socially, and emotionally while instilling a sense of purpose and community.
We believe that learning is most effective when it’s enjoyable and immersive. The Youth Empowerment Program engages students through interactive workshops, creative activities, real-world projects, and culturally relevant experiences. These activities are designed to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and encourage critical thinking. From STEM challenges to arts and cultural events, every aspect of the program is crafted to make learning meaningful and fun.
Encouragement is the foundation of confidence and growth. Through personalized mentorship, peer-to-peer support, and motivational activities, we ensure that every student feels valued and supported. The program builds a sense of belonging, enabling particants to overcome challenges, embrace their unique strengths, and pursue their goals with determination.
The program equips participants with essential life skills to prepare them for a successful future. Workshops and training sessions focus on developing leadership, effective communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork. By providing tools and resources, we empower students to take charge of their academic success and personal growth.
True empowerment comes from understanding one’s potential to create change. The program inspires students to become active, responsible members of their communities. We encourage them to take initiative, lead by example, and contribute to building a better world. Our goal is to shape resilient, confident, and capable individuals who can navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
Youth empowerment is essential for creating a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive. At Oregon Blacks for Youth and Families, we are dedicated to addressing systemic challenges, promoting equity, and ensuring that every student has the tools and support to succeed. The Youth Empowerment and Emerging Adults program is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
Join us on this journey to build a brighter tomorrow for our community. Together, we can engage, encourage, equip, and empower the next generation.
